A BIT ABOUT ME

Hello and welcome to Your Birth Village.  I'm very happy to see you here.

I'm Nikki, your local Hypnobirthing Practitioner, Doula, Menstrual Cycle Educator and Circle Holder.

I am incredibly passionate about supporting women & families as they plan, and reach, their pregnancy, birth and parenting goals. My offering encompasses the full perinatal period including antenatal/hypnobirthing teachings, mindful breastfeeding, birth support, traditional postpartum support, hormone support, menstrual cycle support.

As a mother myself I understand, and have lived experience, of the rawness of pregnancy & birth, and have journeyed through the incredibly important but often overlooked rite of passage: Motherhood.

My approach is warm, friendly and holistic.  During my time supporting you, I will provide physical, practical & emotional support.  I will arm you with evidence-based information to support you while you make fully informed decisions and I weave many traditional customs into my practice providing holistic care throughout our time together (always respectfully acknowledging my teachers and their teachers).

I want to ensure all parents are aware of their choices and at the core of my practice are Birth Rights. I strongly believe in Your Baby, Your Body, Your Choice and I will support all families with this mantra throughout my time with them.

If you’re looking for a gentle, holistic birthkeeper to support you during your perinatal journey, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

What People Say

I began working with Nikki during my pregnancy and her support to me has been invaluable right through to after my baby was born. Nikki has a great deal of knowledge and understanding and helped me to successfully follow through with my hypnobirthing plans. Nikki also gently supported me on my breastfeeding journey, which without her guidance I am not sure I could have continued alone. I’d fully recommend Nikki’s services to any parents looking for a supportive, caring, nurturing, knowledgeable approach on their parenting journey.

Massive recommendation for Nicola!
I was terrified ahead of my second birth after a traumatic first birth and Nicola helped me build out a plan and some preparation to really feel confident and calm. She had so much knowledge to put me at ease. I also wanted some help with breastfeeding and bottle feeding and she helped me make a plan for how I wanted to approach it second time round.

Postnatally she was exactly the calmness I needed, bringing me homemade soup, taking care of my little one and talking through everything with me. I had really hoped to find someone to help focus on me after birth and it’s exactly what I got in Nikki! Best money I’ve spent

My husband and I had a refresher Hypnobirthing session with Nikki (Your Birth Village) prior to the birth of our second child. Despite having had a really positive first birth with our older child, I still felt very anxious about doing it all again. Both my husband and I found our session with Nikki extremely useful - she was very knowledgeable and presented the course is an insightful and engaging way. She was able to allay our fears and we left feeling confident and well-prepared for our sons arrival.

His birth was exactly as we hoped (quick, calm and in the birthing pool) and Nikki was a huge part of ensuring that was the case.

Absolutely whole heartedly recommend Nicola to anyone who is exploring the option of a doula. I used her as a post natal doula and she was everything I needed. Great with my older daughter, was able to put the newborn to sleep, helped with latch and detected a scab on my breast which made feeding so difficult and every doctor, midwife and health visitor misdiagnosed it which meant I just wasn't healing. She's also very calming which is what I needed in those 4 months of This is not an ad! Thank you N for all that you did. You are the only reason I wish the fourth trimester was longer
